KL night view from Langat Hill

April 6th 2008 by pelfy in My Escape

There’s a 榛名山 (read: Chou Ming Shan) in Malaysia,” said CA.

**You will not know what and where is ‘Chou Ming Shan’ if you did not watch “Initial D”. Anyways, for those who missed the movie, Chou Ming Shan is also known as Mount Akina**

He also claimed that the curvy road to the Langat Hill was a good place for him to show me that he could drift (of course he wasn’t driving a Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86). Ho! Ho!

Anyway, we were there to capture sunset in KL (from a distance, of course!). We managed to stay until we could only see stars, then we had dinner at Gasoline and off to PJ.

Below are some shots we took from the observation tower at Langat Hill. The view there was just so amazing (= Happy viewing.

Photobucket
The KL Tower is the one on the left, and the Petronas Twin Towers is on the right. The picture on the left was taken using night mode (with flash), and the one on the right was taken without flash.

Photobucket
Another shot of the KL night view. The top shot was taken with flash (night mode) whereas the bottom shot was taken without flash.

Do tell me what you think of these shots. Which one do you prefer? The one taken with flash or without flash?

It depends on individual preference lor.

For me, I’ll opt for the one without flash. More lively, more original.

With flash is better… You used ur Princess to snap that? Its so nice lor if compare to the one I took with my Lumix.
i rate 10/10 points for skill plus camera…

    Beautiful pictures!

The 2nd one is better and natural. Also the late evening blue sky is much better in the 2nd one. Your camera could have automatically adjusted the white balance when the flash was used causing the warmer cast.

Using the rule-of-thirds, it would be better if the horizon was either at the top third or bottom third of the frame (instead of the center) depending on what is interesting in the photo. Since it’s a city-lights shot, the horizon could have been at the top third. If the sky was interesting, then the horizon could have been at the bottom third.
