PhotobucketI was asking CM whether he had watched “Martian Child”, but he said he hasn’t seen it simply because he’s afraid of watching martian movies. oh, boy! But, the fact here is that, “Martian Child” is one of those not-so-popular movies that not many people will watch. Those who don’t see it, will miss it.

One of the reasons not many are not watching it because “Martian Child” does not have lots of Computer Generated Effects (CGI) like Spiderman. It does not have car chases like “Die Hard 4.0″. What the viewers did not know here is that “Martian Child” has John Cusack in it. The viewers also did not know that “Martian Child” is about a child (an orphan) who needs love.

“Martian Child” is aimed right at the heart and touches the emotions. It makes a person realise how important it is to have people in your life who will never, ever, ever, ever give up on you no matter what happens. Even when it looks like you’re from Mars!

“Martian Child” is not as complicated as that of “The Pursuit of Happyness“. Here, John Cusack plays David, a science-fiction writer whose wife has passed away. He has always wanted to adopt a child, but he hasn’t got the opportunity to do so due to his work schedule.

In the midst of looking for a suitable child, fate brings Dennis (Bobby Coleman) to him. Dennis is a little boy who stays away from the sun, which explains his hideout in the box during daytime. He wears a pair of sunglasses wherever he goes and he believes that he is from Mars and that his parents are coming back for him soon.

Now, the questions here are: Is Dennis going back to his parents? Or is Dennis chooses to follow David?

If you haven’t got a chance to watch “Martian Child”, remember to watch this soon. Go out of your way, go alone if you must, but remember to watch it before it is removed from the screening list.
