Oh.. Oh!! The Chinese New Year is fast approaching. Have you done your spring cleaning? What about the cookies? Are they ready? And what about your new clothes?
Aha… there goes the long list.
Back to the topic - ‘important‘, the Chinese believe that it is important to have our hair cut to welcome the new year. I am not sure if this applies to all Chinese, but it certainly does apply to the superstitious me (=Sources said it is important to start a new beginning with the hair as all good things will follow us from head-to toe. Haa… haa…
Frankly, I couldn’t remember the last time I went to the saloon, well that explains the long hair and the split ends, but happy to say, I’ve already bid farewell to them two weeks ago.
Check it out!!!

The importance of having a new hair cut for the new year!! Hoo-huu!!

19|Jan|2008 1Wow, you look super cute with that cut! My hair is long and straight like your before. I’ve had it cut before but hate the grow out stage to get it all one long length again… Wish I could look as cute with short hair as you do hehe

Our human mom has long hair that’s all one length because it’s the easiest for her to deal with.

20|Jan|2008 17Cultural traditions, sometimes, no matter how impractical or even out-of-this-world are important not just to feel good but to feel in one with one’s heritage.
Advance Happy Chinese New Year to you!
