Rivalry Among Siblings

According to Wikipedia, it is defined as “a type of competition or animosity among brothers and sisters, blood-related or not.”
Sources said that rivalry occurs for a number of reasons and they differ from family to family and from sibling to sibling. The three main reasons siblings fight are due to [1] status - siblings fight for position in the family, [2] attention - siblings fight to get their parents’ attention and [3] ownership - children fight over belongings, friends, and parents’ time.
In my case, I think rivalry happened (note the past tense) between my sister and I, but not in the critical condition because as far as you and I know, my sister is neither interested to compete nor fight with me. So, the one of the reasons I fought with her (when we were young) was obviously got to do with ownership because I wanted her 48 Luna colour pencils. Mine was always the 12 (mini box) colour pencils.
There is nothing for us to compete because, let’s take an example. My sister is born tall. And me, the opposite. So? The competition is not there at all because, being tall doesn’t mean she’s as sweet as me. Wuakkkaa! Just the other day I was having lunch in PJ and an uncle asked, “What form are you currently studying?”. So you see…. I actually look so much younger than expected (=
Other than that, I think I had what my sister had, including the same pattern shirts, pants, shoes, necklaces, tupperwares, food, drinks, watches, you name it.
Oh yea… and even sharpeners.
There you go… rivalry does not quite occur in our lives probably because we had the same toys, but what actually made us so close to each other was, in my humble opinion, because back then my sister needs a companion and I also need a companion, so… it is something like… symbiosis.
Of course when it comes to memorising studying, my sister is very much smarter and better than me, but when it comes to creativity thinking of ways to avoid being punished (I think creativity is the word), I am slightly more outstanding (though sometimes my sister have better plans). Wuakkaaka…
So, you see… siblings rivalry happens everywhere, may it be in manga (Naruto: Sasuke and Itachi), on tv series (Friends: Ross and Monica Geller) and in literature (The Taming of the Shrew (Shakespeare): Katherine and Bianca). EVERYWHERE.

that’s a cute entry. i have two sisters and couldn’t remember having any rivalry.. maybe with my bro though, we always get into fights when we were younger. but now, he’s the sweetest!

Rivarly issue has ocuured within my two brothers for long time. One has desktop and another one buy laptop. Not enough for that? One installed Window Vista while one remained the Window XP (competing each other for nothing). Already forget the reasons they fight each other. Neither me, dad, and mom can solve their fight. At least, I have 2 computers for my usage. Who can tell me what to do?
